Ludacris Essentials

Ludacris is one of several Atlanta rap stars who helped push the south forward in the aughts. An animated vocalist with incredible flows, he made his mark with his 2000 major-label debut Back for the First Time—a repackaged version of the independently released Inconegro—selling over three million copies. He gained more fans with scene-stealing guest appearances on Missy Elliot's "One Minute Man" and Usher's “Yeah!” He's released several multi-platinum albums, most notably Chicken-n-Beer, which spawned the No.1 hit “Stand Up” produced by Kanye West. His 2006 platinum-selling Release Therapy won two Grammys. His Disturbing Tha Peace imprint signed 2 Chainz as one half of Playaz Circle years before the lanky rapper found stardom. He's successfully made the jump to Hollywood—appearing in the Oscar-winning Crash and the Fast & Furious franchise, among other films.
