Los Cadetes de Linares Essentials

Formed during the ‘60s by the late Homero Guerrero, the Nuevo León group redefined Mexican corridos by adding cunning lyrics, wild tambora rhythms, and intoxicating accordion riffage. The band's bold delivery helped too, charged as it is with conviction and gut-felt emotion. The continuing popularity of its songs, such as the love ballad “No Hay Novedad” and the narcocorrido “Polvo Maldito,” helped to lead the way for younger generations of corridistas. Revel in these classic norteños.
