Live Essentials

A combination of heavy, classic rock riffs and the soulful vocals of frontman Ed Kowalczyk made Live one of the biggest alternative acts of the ‘90s. The band established their sound, which merged Kowalczyk's introspective lyrics with surging rock intensity, on their 1991 debut, Mental Jewelry, but truly broke out with 1994's Throwing Copper. Live peaked with the crest of the alt-rock scene in the late ‘90s and continued to draw success with their proven formula of ballads and orchestral rock into the new millennium.
