Making a name for himself initially as singer of band Parangolé, Léo Santana, a.k.a. the Giant, was crowned the new king of Bahian pagode when he embarked on a solo career in 2014. His baritone vocals seductively contrasted the music’s intrinsic melodies, as he churned out hit after radio hit and took the carnival by storm. To top it off, he also expanded his rhythmic repertory with high-profile duets.
