A true polymath, Laura Jane Lowther has distinguished herself equally as a vocalist, producer, and songwriter. Early in her career, the English-born Australian artist known as KUČKA provided backing vocals on rapper A$AP Rocky’s 2013 debut album while showcasing her airy lead vocals and percolating production on solo tracks like 2015’s spectral “Divinity.” Since then, she has become a repeat singer and co-writer with Flume, as well as for electronic acts like Cosmo’s Midnight and Mount Kimbie. Ever the keen collaborator, KUČKA enlisted Nosaj Thing and other idiosyncratic producers for her 2021 debut album Wrestling, all while lending her morphing, alien-like soundscapes to American rappers like Vince Staples and Fetty Wap.
