Danish rock legend Kim Larsen was active for almost half a century. Influenced by rock 'n' roll, The Beatles and Dylan, his lively solo career saw him play in bands including Bellami, Kjukken and Gasolin'—the latter one of the best Danish rock bands of the '70s. His style is known for powerful electric guitar passages that are the counterpoints to his grittily expressive, almost spoken, vocals. A true rock maverick, his topics ranged from anti-establishment politics in his 1983 solo album Midt Om Natten to the mournful romance of 1994's Hvem Kan Sige Nej Til En Engel.
