Canadian turntablist Kid Koala has been a major figure in the international DJ scene since signing with Ninja Tune in the late '90s. Through that label, he released Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, a whimsical and head-nodding masterpiece of vintage jazz and blues samples cut up by his peerless scratching skills. Over the next 12 years, Koala has only expanded his musical visions, including his humorous yet haunting 2012 release 12 Bit Blues, collaborations with Gorillaz and Dan The Automator, and his rock/hip-hop hybrid project The Slew featuring the former rhythm section of Wolfmother.
