Keith Jarrett Essentials

Keith Jarrett Essentials

Starting out with hard bop legends like Art Blakey when he was barely out of high school, Keith Jarrett certainly had auspicious origins. He was recording with the epochal electric bands of Miles Davis by the early ‘70s. He never abandoned jazz over the course of his long career, and continued playing in large bands and small ensembles for decades. Later on though, Jarrett also began to play epic, marathon, and entirely improvised solo concerts that blurred the line between jazz and classical. This playlist provides an overview of this virtuoso's extraordinary solo career.
