John Scofield: The Session Musicians

John Scofield: The Session Musicians

John Scofield has worked with some of jazz's mightiest artists. Before helping Miles Davis achieve his cold and spiky jazz-funk style in the '80s (“One Phone Call / Street Scenes”), the guitarist started his career laying velvety chords under Chet Baker's melancholic voice (“If You Could See Me Now”). Scofield has also ditched jazz for a variety of novel settings, including jammy blues rock alongside gutsy crooner Joan Osborne (“Mr. Charlie”).
