John Anderson is living proof that a traditionally-minded, hardcore country artist can still strike gold. A Florida native, Anderson moved to Nashville in the early ‘70s and was signed to Warner Brothers in 1980. His fourth album Wild & Blue proved to be his breakthrough; the title track was covered by artists as diverse as Lucinda Williams (on her own self-titled breakthrough) and UK punks The Mekons. Anderson's hit streak continued into the ‘00s; in 2007 he released Easy Money, the first of two collaborations with John Rich of the hit-making Big & Rich.
