Pomeranian rhymer Joda reps Poland’s Tri-City with old-school style and candid lyricism. A succession of underground mixtapes caught the attention of fellow emcee Paluch, who swiftly signed Joda to his label BOR Records in 2017. Since then, he’s dropped bars on blistering anthems with the BORCREW collective—whose joint LP proved a bestseller in Poland—while delving into acoustic sounds and nostalgic verses on his solo albums. Joda’s introspection is balanced by a sharp sense of realism and every track is driven by his fierce flow and black humour.
