Swedish songsmith Jens Lekman might write catchy and affecting tunes in the style of classic ‘70s AM pop bands, but he uses 21st century techniques to get there. Pairing his wistful acoustic guitar strumming and assured baritone with a dizzying array of samples and loops, Lekman is a wizard in the studio. He's not the most prolific artist around—2012's I Know What Love Isn't was only his third album in eight years—but fans are kept happy through a series of frequent EP releases and collaborations with the likes of Jose Gonzalez and El Perro del Mar.
