INXS Essentials

INXS Essentials

Mixing New Wave energy with the rock muscle of the veteran bar band they were, Australia's INXS infused their music with elements of funk and dance that—along with Michael Hutchence's sultry charisma—set them apart. After some local success, they broke through internationally with their third album, 1982's Shabooh Shoobah. Increasing MTV and FM radio popularity followed until 1987's massive Kick made them one of the biggest bands on the planet.
