The soundtrack of The Beatles' critically derided TV special of the same name—fleshed out with their 1967 singles for U.S. release—Magical Mystery Tour is the band's most purely psychedelic effort. As such, it's inspired generations of fans, from The Left Banke and Bee Gees in the '60s to 10cc in the '70s to Tears for Fears in the '80s to Stereolab and Neutral Milk Hotel in the '90s, and beyond.
