You can't make space rock without sounding like Hawkwind. Moon Duo prove it on “Wilding,” which is crisp indie psych strapped to hypnotic riffs that channel the churning engines of their cosmic overlords, while Spiritualized's “The Individual” is a droning reenactment of the legends' feedback freakouts. “Green Machine,” from metalheads Kyuss, mixes up neo-Sabbath heft with the proto-punk aggression of Hawkwind's “Urban Guerilla.”
