Hailed as a major force in India’s hip-hop story, Ikka Singh also brings his fiery bars to film songs. While on the rise, the Delhi-born emcee made quick friends with Indian rap frontrunners like Yo Yo Honey Singh and Raftaar, whom he credits as formative in finding his own voice. Ikka then made himself known in Bollywood starting in 2014, his barbed yet often cheeky wordplay—between Punjabi, Hindi and English—finding favour with music directors such as Himesh Reshammiya, Sachin-Jigar and remake king Tanishk Bagchi.
