Guitarist Piotr Banach and singer Kasia Nosowska are masters of melancholy, serving up grungey Polish rock thrills, full of crunchy power chords, wispy New Wave splendour and fist-in-the-air anthemic vocals Since 1993’s blistering debut Fire, their sound has rung out at stadiums across Poland and beyond, thanks in part to how the band have ceaselessly expanded their horizons: 2016’s “Blysk” found the Szczecin-based group experimenting with spoken word over muted piano and droning bass, while “Dreams” is an acoustic guitar-laced glimpse at their lighter side.
