Guest List: Talib Kweli
Apple Music
Rapper Talib Kweli first made a name for himself in Black Star (alongside Mos Def), with Reflection Eternal (with producer Hi-Tek), and through his breakthrough guest spots on Mood's 1997 underground classic Doom. It was a full five years after those early spotlight verses that he put out his debut solo album, 2002's Quality. Always a style chameleon, the rapper alslo teamed-up with artists outside his backpacker comfort zone. He sounded just as comfortable rhyming with the likes of Dirty South icons UGK and Hyphy vet Mistah F.A.B. as he did with The Roots and Me'Shell Ndegeocello. Loose yourself in these tracks touched by Talib.
