Most of the time, The Destroyers' gritty blend of vintage blues and rock leans toward the former. The rollicking “Louie to Frisco” has Thorogood busting a rockabilly yelp over pounding keys, and the band stuff tons of greasy swing and twang into the speeding rave-up “Rock Party”. But nothing screams rock 'n' roll quite like their manic cover of Chuck Berry's “Reelin' and Rockin'”, complete with blaring saxes.
