Andrew Hung and Ben Power started F**k Buttons after meeting at art school in 2004 and bonding over their mutual interests in abrasive noise and challenging EDM. The two combined those influences on albums like 2008's Street Horrrsing and 2013's Slow Focus, which also incorporated elements of world music percussion and minimal techno into their soupy, psychedelic mix. F**k Buttons received a huge boost from the folks behind the 2012 Summer Olympics opening ceremonies, who selected two of the group's tracks to be featured in the multimedia extravaganza.
