Fergie has been in the entertainment industry for most of her life. After starring in the '80s children's TV show Kids Incorporated, she joined the poppy R&B troupe Wild Orchid in the '90s before eventually signing up to the then-underground hip-hop group the Black Eyed Peas. Debuting on 2003's Elephunk album, she added poppy vocals to the crew's grooves as they sailed into the mainstream. Ferg's own solo work heads in a flirtatious direction, as she embraces the electronic and dance scenes to anthemic effect.
