Far East Movement Essentials

With 2010’s bouncy “Like a G6,” Far East Movement made history as the first Asian Americans to top the Billboard Hot 100. Since then, they’ve kept on making clubs bounce with a mix of pop, rap, and EDM. Their 2013 single “The Illest” puts Riff Raff over a sax riff stickier than body shots; a teenage Justin Bieber sets his motivational pep talk to trance synths on 2012’s “Live My Life.” While Far East Movement are no strangers to boldface names like Pitbull and Ryan Tedder, they’re just as happy kicking out stripped-down party tracks like “Bang It To the Curb,” a bass-heavy anthem off 2014’s aptly named KTown Riot EP.
