Meanwhile, rap tuga’s innovators deployed an arsenal of alternative and traditional sounds that propelled the genre to the next level. Trap, R&B, Afrobeats and fado crept into rhythmically and culturally intricate grooves that lit up the dance floor and lent food for thought.
