Dustin Lynch Essentials

Dustin Lynch became a big name in 2010s country by bringing something old-school to the table. Born in Tullahoma, TN, in 1985, Lynch was already performing the open-mic nights at legendary Nashville songwriters hub The Bluebird Cafe as a teenager. And when his self-titled debut arrived in 2012, his fluid baritone, understated delivery, and George Strait-esque sound brought back something Nashville was needing. The album became a No. 1 country hit, with the Platinum-selling single “Cowboys and Angels” exemplifying Lynch’s tasteful, timeless approach. His style evolved over the next few years, and tunes like his 2017 smash “Small Town Boy” found him adopting a more modernized approach, but that big, deep voice was as expressive as ever. And when he was inducted into the Grand Ole Opry in 2018, his place in country-music history was solidified.
