Israeli-born singer and composer Dudu Aharon specializes in Mizrahi music, which combines African, Eastern and Arabic modes with elements of pop. His voice is at once warm and stirring, able to shift effortlessly between breathy phrases and soaring melodies. After making his '07 debut with Ahava Rishona, Ahron released a number of platinum-selling albums in his homeland, and his profile rose even higher after an appearance on the 2011 TV reality show Living in LA LA Land, which highlighted Israeli singers seeking stardom in America. His sixth album, Yamim Tovim, came out in '13.
