Dropkick Murphys Essentials

Dropkick Murphys Essentials

Likely the biggest name in American Celtic punk, the hard-touring, hard-playing Dropkick Murphys formed just outside of Boston in 1996. Initially signed to Hellcat Records, the band quickly became a St. Patrick's Day favorite as Beantown fans readily responded to the band's hearty hybrid of rock, heavy metal, and Irish traditional music. With songs nearly synonymous with Boston pride, their music has appeared in ads for Sam Adams beer, in Martin Scorsese's Oscar-winning film The Departed, and as walk-on music for an array of area sporting teams.
