California-based hardcore heavyweights Death by Stereo formed in '96. Their first LP, If Looks Could Kill, I'd Watch You Die, dropped in '98. After a year on the road, the band signed to Epitaph Records. Another year of constant touring and a second LP, '01s Day of the Death, led to a slot on '02's Warped Tour. Relentless road dates and two more LPs—Into the Valley of Death and Death for Life—kept the band's star steadily on the rise. Their most recent LP, Black Sheep of the American Dream, came out on Viking Funeral Records in '12.
