Editors’ Notes Cedric Gervais has been a house-music fixture since the early ‘00s, when the French DJ began turning out tribal-tinged progressive grooves in his adopted hometown of Miami. But it took a decade for him to break out as one of EDM's key pop-crossover figures, which happened thanks to his throbbing, prime-time remix of Lana Del Rey's “Summertime Sadness” in 2013. His specialty is the spine-tingling balance of unforgettable melody and irresistible energy: Just check the fist-pumping buildup of his remix of Miley Cyrus' “Adore You,” or the way he turns Howard Jones' sparkly “Things Can Only Get Better” into a rocket-ship blastoff.
