Ce'Cile Essentials

A true daughter of Jamaica, Ce'Cile grew up in Mandeville, where her grandfather was the mayor. Her father was friends with Third World's Michael “Ibo” Cooper, who introduced the young Ce'Cile to the world of music. After singing backup for various bands and working as a studio manager for Celestial Sound Recordings, Ce'Cile recorded a duet with Sean Paul that would eventually sell two million copies in the U.S. and win a GRAMMY®. The hit set her career as a recording artist into motion, making her one of the biggest names in dancehall music.
