Emerging from New York City's underground in 2011, luminous indie-pop duo Buscabulla broke from the pack with a signature sound melding vaporwave with salsa and bomba—traditional rhythms from their native Puerto Rico. Earlier singles “Caer” and “Tártaro” launched the pair as local favorites, but it was their 2018 return to the island coupled with 2020's acclaimed Regresa LP that cemented their status as Boricua heroes. Buscabulla is a prolific and wildly collaborative project, crossing over with indie luminary Helado Negro on singles like “Frío” and “Agosto” and reggaetón juggernaut Bad Bunny for his 2022 smash “Andrea.”
