This is fitting, as destiny and fate are two profound concepts that come up often in his blustery Mediterranean folk epics, full of romance and rampant emotion. Mixing passionate strums of acoustic guitar with Eastern bells and instrumentation, the singer—real name Buray Hoşsöz—always finds rich backdrops for his tumbling virtuoso vocal melodies, whether whipping up an intense pop party on tracks like “Deli Divane” or dipping into brooding bass and drum grooves, like he does on “Kehanet”.
