Bun B Essentials

Texas-born MC Bun B got his start as one half of UGK with Pimp C, leading to their breakthrough appearance on JAY Z's “Big Pimpin'," where his hook and verse arguably stole the show. After Pimp C's incarceration, he released his debut solo album, Trill, in 2005 and went on to appear on Beyoncé's No. 1 hit “Check on It." Showcasing his knack for knowing what's up-and-coming, he collaborated with early hits by Drake—on his debut mixtape So Far Gone—and Big Sean. His third album, Trill OG, gained praise from the rap industry, earning him a rare five-mic rating from The Source.
