Seven friends from West Berlin got together in 2016 to form BHZ, growing into one of German hip-hop’s most gripping crews. Thanks to smashes like “Bier”—a cheeky pairing with 102 Boyz—the gang’s five rappers and two producers quickly established their knack for contagious buddy anthems. Between trap beats, old-school boom-bap and cloud rap woven with soulful sampled guitars, the past meets the future in tracks that juxtapose party spirit and intimate melancholy.
