Their early albums experimented with hip-hop and hard funk, and gained a loyal fanbase, but it was '96's Bloom that catapulted the group into the mainstream. Its slick mix of alt-rock and post-grunge rock set the blueprint for later LPs, dialing down the rap influences while rocking hard enough to fill the arenas. Singing your faith never sounded so much fun.
