I feel like, because of the volcanic activity, it’s literally new land. You feel this sense of hope, growth, and evolution.” Artists on the playlist besides Aiko include Anita Baker, D’Angelo, John Mayer, and Frank Ocean, represented here with his Blonde track “Self Control.” “I'm a big fan, big fan of Frank,” Aiko says. “Everyone pretty much got tired of me playing Blonde.
