It's a verifiable fact that when it comes to big room trance, no one does it better than the Dutch. And sitting atop this pyramid of greatness is Armin van Buuren. Known for his ability to sustain some of the longest sets in DJ history, van Buuren got his start playing clubs in his hometown of Leiden while studying law in the mid-'90s. By the early-'00s he was gaining popularity in the UK and the US, making his first entry in DJ Mag's Top 100 in '01. He would go on to top the ranking on numerous occasions, while his radio show, A State of Trance, is broadcast in over 40 countries.
