The brainchild of composer, singer and guitarist Joan Miguel Oliver, this group formed in the late ‘90s and occupies a unique space in Spain, choosing to sing almost entirely in Catalan. Listening to their music is like driving on a winding road through the surreal landscape of an Yves Tanguy painting—it's beguiling and utterly unique. Their songs propel you forward with a sense of wonder, laying the groundwork with Farfisa organ, banjo and other plucked instruments, taking a deliberately lo-fi approach that periodically includes thumping bass, gnashing guitars and electronic flourishes.
