The ever-morphing, incredibly prolific Acid Mothers Temple have been instrumental in keeping psychedelic music alive and well in their native Japan. Led by guitarist Kawabata Makoto, the band has developed into a cosmic force of nature. Working from a foundation of ultra-heavy, hypnotic rock, the band has brought elements of jazz, noise, folk, and Krautrock into a discography that spans decades and includes contributions from some of Japan's finest musicians and fellow sonic travelers, like Gong's Daevid Allen and Guru Guru drummer Mani Neumeier.
