Zoolander
It’s hard to say what we love most about Zoolander, the ludicrously funny 2001 send-up of the fashion industry. Ben Stiller, who also directed, stars as Derek Zoolander: an almost-30 airhead who’s been crowned VH1’s Male Model of the Year three years running. Zoolander’s star comes crashing down when Hansel (Owen Wilson), a trippy, shaggy-haired newcomer, starts booking all the best campaigns. With endless celebrity cameos (including the always-dapper David Bowie as the judge of an epic walk-off), scene-chewing villains (in the shape of Will Ferrell and Milla Jovovich) and a plot that somehow ties together child labour, Frankie Goes to Hollywood and a patented pout called Blue Steel, Stiller’s silly satire never ages.
