Bob Dylan, Bob Dylan's Greatest Hits Sufjan Stevens, Illinois The Black Keys, Brothers Dylan's writing taught me how to apply the poetry, literature and angst learned in school to my songwriting. Sufjan showed me how to be a true composer of sound. The Black Keys sing the blues in a way that I've always felt everyone can feel. Tell us why you chose this song. “Takes All Kinds” I was raised by my grandparents and many of my songs are simply idioms they said to me while growing up. When my grandma was dealing with someone tricky she'd say " Zach, it takes all kinds to make the world go around" - turns out, she's right!
