About Weston Burt

Country singer and songwriter Weston Burt was born in Fort Payne, Alabama, the home of the legendary country group Alabama, and he grew up listening to both country and Southern rock, styles he incorporates seamlessly into his live shows. Burt began his professional music career in 2006 while attending Auburn University and working toward a degree in building science. Forming a country band with friends, he began playing the Southeast college circuit, quickly developing a loyal fan base and releasing an independent album, Born to Do. After acquiring management in 2010, he signed a recording deal later that same year and began working on an album with songwriter and producer Cliff Downs. An EP, Lucky Sometimes, named after Burt's lead single, "Lucky Sometimes," appeared in the spring of 2013. ~ Steve Leggett
