About Walker and Wylde

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Ixc learned to play music starting when they were 10 years old with classical guitar, and Jay started learning when he was twelve, learning with his teacher by jamming on classic music across the decades. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? John Craigie, Capricorn in Retrograde... Just Kidding... Live in Portland Marvin Gaye, What's Going On Tom Waits, Nighthawks at the Diner (2018 Remaster) These are the three albums that the band has listened to the most together. The two of us have deeply bonded over these albums, letting them inspire us lyrically, musically and how we understand the world. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Bottle Street (Single Version)” This song must be the song that means the most to us. When we wrote this song we knew immediately that this was where the band was going. The second album (not out as of writing) is us being inspired by this style of music. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? When the two of us went on tour and people started singing every single one of our songs, knowing every word to our little tiny band's music. That was the moment when we started seeing movement in our career and we felt assured about pursuing this. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Get famous. Die. Maybe have enough money to go on a bender guilt free.
