About Vory

A Kentucky-bred singer/rapper with a smooth and moody R&B style, Vory first gained national attention in 2015 after appearing on the track "Don't" by fellow Louisville native Bryson Tiller. Over the next few years, he began releasing his own solo tracks and collaborating with a variety of artists including Cassow, Blu, AD, and Justine Skye.

Capitalizing on the high-profile exposure gained from working with Tiller, Vory -- then working under the name King Vory -- debuted with his own mixtape, Overdose, in 2016, which was hosted by Adrian Swish and DJ Radio and featured contributions from Lil Bibby, Zaytoven, AD, Blu, Nick E Beats, Ayo N Keyz, among others. Shortening his name simply to Vory in 2017, he returned with a trio of singles, "Try," "Do That Shit," and "Hold of Me," that further established his melodic, dark-hued sound. In 2018, Vory became more ubiquitous, releasing tracks like the hypnotic "Control" and the fiery "9.22" and featuring on a variety of tracks by artists like Reese La Flare, Justine Skye, Pierre, and Cassow. A year later, he returned with the Stay EP, featuring the single "Save Me Now." ~ Timothy Monger
