In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I was about seven or eight when i would jump around the living room sofa with a hairbrush in hand, performing to whatever was on the radio at the time. That free child-like state of immersing myself in music has been my safe place ever since. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Dawn Richard, Blackheart Kendrick Lamar, good kid, m.A.A.d city (Deluxe Version) Tinashe, Aquarius Tinashe has been my northern star of inspiration for well over a decade now. I love everything she touches. Same goes for Dawn Richard who influenced a lot of my melodic writing over the years. "good kid, m.A.A.d city" got me through high school. Tell us why you chose this song. “6 AM in Toronto” 6 AM In Toronto" came from a very vulnerable, personal place at a time where i was experiencing a whirwind of emotions. I was trying to process a lot of "firsts" in a song and surprisingly, it reached a lot more people than i ever expected. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Probably my first trip to LA where i got to visit nice studios and show demos to producers i had looked up to all my life. Receiving messages from kind strangers telling me they feel connected to my music will always be a hightlight. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Absolutely. Altough a lot of childhood dreams have already been checked off the list, there is so much i strive for as a producer / writer for my own project as well as other artists. The biggest would be my debut album.
