She lead the choir at her church, and I loved just watching her hands as they floated up and down the keys, leading songs with grace and enthusiasm. Adrianne Lenker, Hours Were the Birds Coldplay, Parachutes James Blake, The Colour in Anything Hours Were the Birds by Adrianne Lenker, Parachutes by Coldplay, The Colour in Anything by James Blake. Tell us why you chose this song. “Shape” I really love “Shape” because it speaks to body image in a way I’d never written about before. It feels tender, but playful, and it’s really amazing to hear everyone sing along with the bridge when I play it live. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Opening for Hozier on tour is definitely one of the most memorable things I’ve ever done. His fans are like no other, and there’s nothing like playing to nearly 10,000 people a night who you feel like are really listening to you. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I’d love to sell out theaters and concert halls and take my own string section on tour. That’d be amazing!
