About Vicky Cryer

After the 2009 breakup of Louis XIV, Jason Hill retreated to his Hollywood Hills studio to work on solo material. Bringing in friends old and new, like drummers Dominic Howard (Muse) and Dave Elitch (Mars Volta), and bassists Mark Stoermer (the Killers) and Nick Fyffe (Jamiroquai), Hill worked an album based on Aldous Huxley's 1931 novel Brave New World. While doing this, Hill also found time to produce and play on the New York Dolls' 2011 album Dancing Backward in High Heels, start a record label (Fancy Animal), work with Macy Gray and Ariel Pink, and re-form Louis XIV. Hill gave his project the name Vicky Cryer and released Synthetic Love of Emotional Engineering in 2013. ~ Tim Sendra
