In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. As a preschooler, I memorized the lyrics to the musical I Do, I Do, from an album my parents received as an anniversary gift. I loved being in choir from grade school through university, and picked up guitar and songwriting in my teens. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Michael Kelsey, The Most Perfect Place The Corrs, Forgiven, Not Forgotten The Manhattan Transfer, The Manhattan Transfer Anthology - Down In Birdland The three albums in my list have each caused me to take action. I sing along; find a harmony part; play an instrument; or write a song. These artists have all had influence in my eclectic music interests, and in the music I create and record. Tell us why you chose this song. “Mourning Dove” Mourning Dove is a cowrite with Scott Greeson and Michael Kelsey, but we didn't start out with a plan to write a song together. We each had song elements that fit together to become Mourning Dove - my lyrics with Scott's melody and Michael's bridge. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? After adding silence to my morning routine for about 5 months, opened the flood gates of song ideas and melodies. I headed to the studio to record what I thought was going to be four songs. It quickly became my debut solo album with 11 tracks. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I plan to record more music, and anticipate new music collaborations. I'm also having fun in the Kelsey Greeson Project mastermind with Scott Greeson, Michael Kelsey and Courtney Von Drehle. We have a goal to tour with American Music Abroad.
