In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Lead singer David Kirkpatrick was born on the road while his parents Slim Dusty and Joy McKean were touring Australia. Now he is part of Two Tone Pony with Ian Rhodes, Greg Richardson, Glenn Willey and Graham Puglisi playing original country rock. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? The Beatles, Revolver The Flying Burrito Brothers, The Gilded Palace of Sin and Burrito Deluxe Tom Petty, Wildflowers & All the Rest (Super Deluxe Edition) I loved the Beatles breadth of songwriting and musical exploration - Tom Petty is again a supreme songwriter and the band is superb - I love Gram Parsons and Chris Hillman and to me this is the real start of country rock as we know it. Tell us why you chose this song. “A Life Well Lived” I wrote this after using the title phrase in a speech introducing my mother for a life time achievement award and it got me thinking about what is it that we aspire to in our lives when we look back - to me it's family and friends, not money. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Our first recording session with Rod McCormack - to finally hear our songs come to life as we hoped and then to be able to go out and play them live. Hearing our song on the radio for the first time was a real surreal moment. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Where do I start! Our aim is to reach as many people as we can who love original music that is real and organic - from the heart.
