About Trio Marie Soldat
Named after 19th century violinist Marie Soldat-Roeger, Trio Marie Soldat plays on original instruments and uses historical-performance practices on standard trio repertoire from the Classical and Romantic periods. Its members are violinist Cecilia Bernardini, cellist Marcus van den Munckhof, and fortepiano player Keiko Shichijo. Trio Marie Soldat has toured throughout Europe, often taking time during its performances to discuss the practices used. In 2021, the group released its debut album, offering readings of trios by Beethoven and Schubert.
