In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Going to see X, The Blasters, the GoGo's at the Whisky back in 1980 (I was 15). My dad took me and I thought he would be freaked out by the punks, but he scoffed because he used to go there to see the Byrds, Monkees (both bands he managed), Doors... What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Devo, Duty Now for the Future Power Trip, Manifest Decimation The Brian Jonestown Massacre, Tepid Peppermint Wonderland - A Retrospective Devo changed my life, along with the Germs, as a kid. Duty Now was the first one I bought. The BJM have been long time favorites and I've always aspired to write a song as good as one of Anton's. Power Trip's album - just one of the best ever. Tell us why you chose this song. “I Want to Fly” This song just came out of nowhere and had everything, heaviness, sadness, beauty. We were operating at our peak for that one. Plus the final lyrics "take me out of this cage" and the long, heavy psychedelic ending.
